Addy Lou Creations

So I didn't know if you had noticed but as one of my shower gifts I received a blanket and burp cloth set. They are absolutely adorable! They were made by a fellow mom who is also a blogger and has her own etsy store. Here is a link to her blog: Addy Lou Creates and here is the link to her etsy store: Addy Lou Creates: Etsy Store

I have a feeling I will be visiting her store again very soon, she makes the cutest bags and I am currently in need of a diaper bag :D Hey a girl can spoil herself every now and again.

On the left are the two burp cloths and on the right is the blanket. On one side it is the baby animal pattern and on the other side it is a yellow gingham fleece. It matches perfectly with the theme I was imagining for all of Genna's things :D

Good bye 25 weeks

So I am on the final day of my 25th week! I found this cute little survey on anothers blog so I decided I will be doing it weekly from now on :)
What I miss: I miss being able to get out of bed without having to roll.

What I am looking forward to: Seeing what Genna looks like. Will she have black hair or blond? Blue eyes or brown?

Weekly Wisdom: Do not push yourself! If you feel tired or hungry take a break! I was cleaning and organizing Carson's room this past weekend and I didn't realize that I had skipped lunch. Big mistake, after almost passing out and having a serious case of the jitters and shakes I decided it was time to call it quits for the day.
Milestones: This week she is enjoying her new sense of equilibrium -- she now knows which way is up and which is down.

Pregnancy best friend: My boppy. I lay/sleep with it every night

Weird changes: My hair is falling out! I swear I am pulling out gobs of hair on a daily basis.

Sleep: This is a very hard thing to come by lately, I am getting into the uncomfortable phase.

Best moment this week: Mark had his hand on my stomach and was feeling for Genna and she kicked him hard as if to say “Leave me Alone!”

Movement: Her movements are getting stronger and more frequent; it feels like she is doing gymnastics in here!

Stretch marks: They are still here L my thighs and sides are covered with them

Symptoms: Acid Reflux is on the top of my list for this week. I have it constantly no matter what I eat and nothing helps it subside.

Labor signs: Thankfully none yet!

Food cravings: hmm this week it has been banana bread and soda

Size of baby: Genna is roughly the size of a large head of cauliflower

Weight gain: This week I went up 2 pounds but then lost them both. I am keeping steady at 147 now.

Belly button: What is that?! Ha-ha it disappeared weeks ago! It is half flat and half poking out.

Surprise!

So yesterday I was under the impression that I was going to babysit my neighbors 2 kids. I get ready (which basically means I changed from pajamas), left off the make up, and had my hair pulled back... No reason to get all dressed up for a day of babysitting right?! Wrong! I walked in and lo and behold it is a surprise baby shower from my friends that live on our street. I love these girls so much and am so thankful to have them in my life and to have met them. Even cooler the whole party was a vintage cowgirl theme, from the decorations to the party favors and everything in between. So here was my day :)

The Cowgirl Diaper cake! It was filled with size 1 and size 2 diapers. It also had a TON of goodies on the outside.

15 weeks left

So I promised more pictures from our trip... I turned 25 weeks today! 2 more weeks and we hit the 3rd trimester :D Things are going well, my emotions are running high and my center of balance is way off but other than that I feel good. Genna is roughly the size of an eggplant probably longer and will soon weigh about 2 lbs. Tonight we went to a softball game for a friend of ours and things got a little heated between the teams but it was an eventful night. Tomorrow night should be bonfire and beer with our neighbors and then a nice long 3 day weekend for Mark.

Big things in the Booker house

So this past weekend was awesome. I am so thankful to have such great parents and family. We went to Gatlinburg for a getaway weekend for my older seesters birthday! It was a long 6 hour drive there and an even longer 8 hour drive back. We witnessed two accidents on the way back, one almost bad accident and sat in about 5 miles of stand still interstate traffic because of construction. Genna decided that while we were on this trip back she would take this time to turn! It was extremely painful, so I had to concede the driving over to Mark, which if you know me is a very hard thing for me to do. I am a driving freak, and get very nervous when anyone else drives. So our little cupcake is now head down with her feet in my ribs (Yay! yes I am being totally sarcastic here)

On another note, we found out this past week that Mark's time with the Military is up. We are very thankful for the time we have had here and we are looking forward to the opportunities that are being presented to us. We will be headed to back to Florida in July (I will be roughly 32 weeks) eeek! Luckily we have so much support and the military will be moving all of our stuff so I just need to worry about getting my boys and myself back to Florida which is a 13hr drive! Mark is going to try enrolling into the police academy and hopes to start that in August and be a full time student. I know this has always been a dream of his and I am soo happy he will have the opportunity to hopefully fulfill this dream. While moving and switching doctors at 8 months pregnant will be stressful, I am confident in the support I have.

Now here are some photos from our eventful weekend :D

We have more pictures which I will add as soon as Mark gets home!

Mothers Day

So today we made our first Mothers Day gift for my mom, Carson had a lot of fun doing it. Then we had movie time and watched Space Jam! Yesterday we went and dropped off the title for the Sebring to the Salvation Army and then I went to the hospital and did my pre registration package for the big delivery. All my paperwork is done and the only thing left to do is schedule the c section with my doctor.
Anyways here are some pictures from our arts and crafts project today.

New craving of the week: Baked beans! ha ha I know very random but I want them, need them, crave them all the time. I am officially 23 weeks today, Genna is about 12 inches long and weighs over a pound now. She kicks pretty much all day long and loves to strech out and hurt her momma. 16 more weeks or less and she will be here. Where has the time gone?!

A fun day in bed

So I am under strict orders from my mom to stay in bed. haha her form of resting while pregnant. So I had to find other things to do today... The other day while at Goodwill I found a great buy! It was a picture frame with a cork board attached, and I had the perfect spot in my kitchen for it. It was only $2.99 so that wasn't too bad either. I used a little bit of scrapbook paper and some stickers and gave it a nice face lift.

I also worked on Genna's blanket some more, and I did get up to make dinner. I made Cajun Chicken Nachos which turned out amazing! And the best part is they are healthy! Only 300 calories.

The plan for tomorrow is to work on the blanket some more, Mark and I are going to take Carson to see The Avengers, which he is super stoked to see, and I will probably sleep some more.

hospital visit

So I was planning on making homemade pinatas today and sombrero cookies for our Cinco de Mayo party, but sadly while at Goobs soccer game I started having some extreme pain in my kidney area. I spent 5 hours in the ER and another hour driving home and getting my scrips. I am thoroughly exhausted, they could not determine the cause of the pain but think it is my body trying to pass a kidney stone or the start of a kidney infection. They couldn't test for a kidney stone with a cat scan though because of the little girl in my tummy. She is perfectly healthy, btw. So I am home now resting.

The lovely picture of yours truely that my sweet husband took of me and put on facebook so I might as well share it too. I was doped up on demerol and had my IV going.

Baby Mobile and baby update

So in continuing slowly decorating Genna's room I decided to make a mobile. You can usually buy one from the store for about $40-50 dollars but seriously why would you spend that much when you can make a cute one for much cheaper. All you need is an embroidery hoop, about 20 yards of lace, ribbon and fabric, and a hot glue gun! I also used some brown yarn to hang it.

First I took the inside of the hoop out and set it aside, I plan to turn that part into another project. Next I cut all of my fabric and ribbon into strips about 14in long. You then take your strips and glue them into the inside of the hoop. Voila you have a homemade mobile! Free to hang where you please.

Baby update:
Genna has been moving like crazy. She still likes to sit very low. Then at night when sleeping she thinks it is fun to kick me in the ribs. haha she is a brat like her daddy already. We were blessed again when some of Mark's co workers gave us a bunch of baby clothes, some towels, shoes, and toys. A neighbor gave us a nice baby gate, a friend is giving us a high chair. We are just beyond grateful for every one of them!

This is just from one person, this is about 70 different outfits.
