Got my Boppy!

So this morning I woke up in extreme pain! We still have not figured out what was going on but I am just glad it went away. Then Carson woke up with a stomach bug, he has a slight fever and has been in the bathroom every 30 mins or so. We did manage to go out this evening and pick up a couple things. I found a really cute wall decoration for Genna's room and Carson got a fishing pole. I also found a Boppy pillow at a baby consignment shop for $15! They normally range $30-$45. I am hoping this pillow will be my saving grace. I have had such a hard time sleeping because of body aches and waking up on my back and left side. Backing up a little bit though I worked on the letters for Genna's room (I will post a separate tutorial post on that) I should have them finished tomorrow. I went and bought the lace to hang them with tonight as well.

Carson had his team pictures tonight and he had his hair styled by Mark. lol He said he wanted to look like Johnny Test. All I know is that Johnny Test is some cartoon boy from Cartoon Network, I think he achieved the look. Lastly I stocked up my chocolate supply, which should be gone in a couple days time. lol

Good bye my friend

So we are finally saying goodbye to my car. It was my very first car when I turned 16. I bought it used with my own money and kept up with it now for almost 7 years! It is a 2001 Chrysler Sebring. We have debated over and over what we would do with it and I finally decided that we would donate it to a charity. I looked at quiet a few and choose the Salvation Army. I am very happy that another family will get the gift of a car that they probably desperately need! So this morning Goob and I worked on cleaning the inside and outside of the car to get ready for its pick up this week.

Another highlight of the day was to clean the Sebring we needed to move it out of the carport so now I have a clean empty carport! I set up my chairs in it so I can sit outside with a nice book and read while Goob plays. I did exactly that once we were finished, I set up the sprinkler and he played while I relaxed.

Soccer time, lemon bars, and belly pictures

Today we spent the day out at the soccer fields. Carson had a game this morning and he did so good! This is the first time in which he did not lay down or sit in the middle of the field during the game! haha I know you ask why he would do that... well cause he is 4 and has never learned that not everyone gets to win and score a goal. haha. He played goalie and on the field, he also learned how to throw the ball in from the side lines :)

Then we got home and I made some Whole wheat lemon bars. They are soo tasty :D and actually somewhat healthy. They are only 3 points on the Weight Watchers system.

Lastly, I got pretty burned today but It will fade in a couple days. Genna has been moving like crazy, Mark played some music for her yesterday and she was just kicking away. It seems she likes the Eli Young Band. Very smart girl. My hydro is acting up a little bit, I plan to bring it up at my next appointment with my Ob. It happened when I was pregnant with Carson too. It is where water and urine will back up slightly into my kidneys and cause a bit of pain. Also I am pretty sure I pinched my sciatic nerve last night while sleeping because I woke up and my whole leg, from hip to toes, was completely numb! No more sleeping on my back or left side now... at least not for the next 4 months.
Here are some pictures from earlier this week :D

Wedded Bliss

So a year ago today, my loving husband Mark was blessed with the chance to marry yours truly. So far in the past year we have been through a lot more than most couples go through in their first year. We lost a child late into a pregnancy, we moved 13 hours away from all of my family and friends, 7-8 hrs from all of his family (Thank you Navy), became home renters for the first time, I went through genetic testing, we tried for 4 months to conceive, and finally found out we are expecting our first daughter. Its has been one hell of a year, but I am so glad to have found the man that completes my puzzle. For all my fellow nerds he is the CSS to my HTML. He is the Hans Solo to my Princess Leia, haha basically I really love this dude.

Happy One year anniversary to the best husband, I may not always like you but dammit I always love your stinky ass.

so baby is a...

girl!!!! Little Miss Lou Lou :)

we are so excited and everything went great with the ultrasound! She is measuring 10 oz and is 7 inches long from head to foot... which by the way is the size of a 20 week fetus not 18! So she is already a big girl, Carson was the same way the whole time I was pregnant. Here are some 4d pictures we got yesterday

18 weeks

So today I turned 18 weeks also known as 5 months! We are trucking along well into the 2nd trimester only 9 more weeks until the 3rd trimester! We got the call from our ultrasound clinic letting us know that my doctor did not file the correct insurance paperwork to submit a referral so they pushed my ultrasound appointment back to Tuesday morning at 9:30 am. Thankfully our awesome neighbors Erin and Mike are going to watch Carson for us! The ultrasound doctors told us that the appointment will roughly be about 3 hours long! They want to check every tiny little inch of this little baby. Which baby is not so little anymore, I have been getting good hard kicks all week! It is so exciting, Mark has gotten to feel it and so has Carson. Carson asked if the baby was playing soccer like him. :)

I also called today and asked about my blood test results from my first trimester screening and the multiple marker test I had done at my last appointment, so far all tests have come back normal! The baby is all clear of any genetic abnormalities, now we just need it confirmed on Tuesday morning with the ultrasound and make sure baby has no physical abnormalities. I myself was born with two pinhole VSD's (which are 2 tiny holes in my heart) so it is likely the baby could carry that trait, I also still have a heart murmur. The holes closed up around the time I turned 17 so those are no longer a problem.

Finally we may have come up with a new name if little poof is a boy. We keep changing it around because for some reason the name Abel just doesn't feel like our child's name. Once we settle on a definite name we will talk about it. Right now we would just like to make sure baby is completely healthy and if s/he is a boy or girl!
